In 1996 the first steps towards the realization of the STERNWIND wind farm were made. The first wind turbine went online in 2003. With the approval and construction of 6 additional wind turbines, the STERNWIND wind farm has reached its final size with 7 wind turbines. STERNWIND has been Upper Austria's largest wind farm since 2005 and supplies up to 31.2 million KWh of environmentally friendly electricity annually.
